2008 Production: Guys and Dolls
Woodside

a map)
November
7, 8, 9, 14, 15 and 16, 2008
Guys and Dolls is a love story between two very improbable couples,
Broadway gamblers, a show girl, and a straight-laced missionary. It has
some of the most memorable characters in the traditional musical theatre genre,
and some of the sweetest music. Songs include ÒLuck Be A LadyÓ, ÒSo Sue
MeÓ, ÒBushel and a PeckÓ, and ÒIÕve Never Been In Love BeforeÓ. The story
by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows is based on stories written by Damon Runyon.
ItÕs goofy, funny, and warm, all at the same time.

WOODSIDE COMMUNITY THEATRE
HISTORY
During the decades of the '50s
through the '90s, Maestro George Sellman organized and directed an eclectic
group of Woodside residents, grown-ups and children, in musical and dramatic
theatre productions. The group
went Òon vacationÓ for 11 years after George retired, and got back together
again in late 2003.
